Those that protect and serve others can have their own health issues that are directly related to their profession. Most common are musculoskeletal injuries of the neck, shoulders, low back, knees and ankles, as well as emotional stress, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.
My current client base includes members the Army, Navy, Marine Corp, Army Reserves, IL National Guard, Trauma Nurses, 911 Operators, and area Police and Firefighters. Sessions are created to meet the needs of the individual and can consist of Zen Shiatsu, Hypnosis and/or Massage.
In addition to my skills in addressing acute or chronic injury and pain, I have specialty training in Stress, Shock, Grief and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
NOTE to VETERANS: We do take referrals from the VA through the Community Care Network program. Discuss your needs with your VA Primary Care Provider to see if Massage Therapy may assist you in your needs.
