Zen Shiatsu
Zen Shiatsu is a manual therapy technique from Japan which is based on Chinese Medicine. It uses touch to restore the body to its natural rhythms and functions. It can provide some of the same benefits as massage, acupuncture and chiropractic care, all in the same session.
Shiatsu is recognized by the Ministry of Health of Japan, which defines it in this way: “The shiatsu therapy is a form of manipulation by thumbs, fingers and palms, without the use of any instrument, mechanical or otherwise, to apply pressure on human skin, correct internal malfunctioning, promote and maintain health and treat specific diseases.”
